The most common diseases that affect the face are acne, whether in adolescents or adults, and rosacea. Of the dermatoses of the scalp, we most often encounter various forms of hair loss, which can be transient or permanent.
"Pimples" or acne affect the face and body, they most often occur in adolescents but they can persist into adulthood.
They vary from very mild forms that are treated with creams with keratolytics and antibiotics, and to more severe forms that require treatment with systemic tetracyclines or the retinoid isotretinoin.
In adulthood, especially in women, rosacea is more common, characterized by facial redness and "pimples" in the middle part of the face, and the therapy is the application of local or systemic antibiotics such as tetracycline and metronidazole, and ivermectin.
Of the dermatoses of the scalp, we most often encounter various forms of hair loss, which can be in round foci or diffuse, and hair loss can be temporary when the hair grows back after the cause is removed, or permanent, which is much more complicated to treat.
